| Under the giant Lovcen, in the heart of Boka Kotorska, the most beautiful Mediterranean bay, there is the town of Kotor with the area of 335 km2 and over 22 000 inhabitants. Kotors as settlement old over two millenniums is the story and the history for itself. The town with centurial maritime tradition and famous navigators is encircled by the city walls and built in various (Gothic, Byzantium, Roman, baroque and contemporary) construction styles causes admiration and curiosity by its visitors. There is a Christian basilica in the town core (VI century), and among its sacral facilities are the Clock Tower (VIII century), St. Tripun Cathedral (XIII century), the Church of God's Mother of Health (XV century), the Duke's Palace (XVIII century), Napoleon's theatre (XIX century)… Since XIII century, the grammatical school operates in Kotor, and a range of writers and social scientists emerged from it. It is particular also because of numerous mulas, ponte giving to the entire landscape particular charm. Due to its exceptional richness, Kotor was proclaimed to be a world's cultural heritage and since 1979 it is under the UNESCO protection. |

Kotor became an attractive tourist centre due to the richness of cultural and historic monuments, manifestations as well as the mentality of this area. We recommend the cultural and artistic and entertainment manifestations: “The Night of Boka”, “The Carnival of Kotor”, “The Festival of Children's Theatres”, “International Fashion Festival”, Music Festival “Scent of Mediterranean” and other manifestations during the year, which are visited by thousands of tourists. Kotor feasts are famous well far away and who attends them once will always return here.
