| Congress tourism is based on various meetings, which are held daily on the Montenegrin Riviera and in inland. The meetings are held in the congress centres, and the international meetings from various fields are often organised as well. The best conditions for scientific meetings and other meetings are offered by the Mediterranean Medicine Centre at Igalo, Hotel Avala at Budva and Hotel Meastral at Przno. Besides them, there are a great number of hotels, which daily accept this type of tourists, ensuring them optimal conditions for holding the meetings. |

The climate and medicine tourism in Montenegro is based primarily on the existence of Igalo – on of the major centres in the world for treatment and rehabilitation, which developed on the place where the healing sources are mixed with the sea mud. In this place there is the Institute for Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation and Rheumatology “Dr. Simo Milosevic” and within it the Mediterranean Medicine Centre. There is the Centre for Relaxation, Recreation and Treatment “Igalo”. In front of them there is the kilometre beach – pebbly and sandy (fine sand), and partly muddy. It is considered that this mud is healing, and for this reason you will often see here the tourists covered by mud all over the body. At the place called Banja (Spa), near the mouth of the River of Sutorinska, there is a source of radioactive mineral water, which is channelled to the medicine centres. The medicine centres at Igalo treat diseases of joints, muscles, nerves, genital organs and rheumatism. The post-operative rehabilitation of cardiac patients is performed in the Mediterranean Medicine Centre.
